Our Vision for the Future
The Elim Movement in Ireland is committed to reaching the whole island with the whole Gospel. Although the future is hidden, we at Elim Ministries know that the future belongs to God. So it our fervant desire in all we do to honour the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are confident of success in all we endevour so long as we submit to His lordship. Below you will find information on the structure of Elim Ministries and the shared approach of it affiliated bodies.
Church Partnership Principles
Elim Ministries incorporates a double edged sword in its approach to its future growth and development. This involves a balancing of shared vision with the need for fostering relational integrity. It is with this in mind that the following philosophy is employed in all our dealing with one another. The need for both is essential to the realisation of our potential in Jesus Christ. One part cannot stand without the other, nor the other last without the first.
Common Goals |
Relational Values |
Spiritual Preparation |
Corporate Identity |
Our desire is to lay a foundation of fervent prayer and regular fasting - particularly amongst our leaders - for a move of God’s Spirit upon our nation. |
Recognizing not only our local identity but also the particular Church Family that God has called us into we are committed to upholding the integrity of these truths in our conduct and communication. |
Ministry Training |
Common Vision |
We want to make Ministry Training available to the people within our Churches with the aim of drawing out and developing anointed leadership and gifted ministry. |
As a family of Churches we are committed to reaching out beyond our own locality to the whole of Ireland with the full Gospel of Jesus Christ. As we do this we are committed to working towards the goals and objectives of the Alliance. |
Structural Streamlining |
Mutual Respect |
It is our desire to reach out, with God’s help, in evangelism and Church planting so that our nation might be influenced, impacted and transformed by the message of the Gospel. |
We are committed to honouring, affirming and encouraging our leaders and those that work amongst us so that their ministry may not be unnecessarily hindered. |
Evangelism/Church Planting |
Gracious Attitude |
It is our desire to reach out, with God’s help, in evangelism and Church planting so that our nation might be influenced, impacted and transformed by the message of the Gospel. |
In our relationships to one another both as individuals and Churches we are committed to working together in an atmosphere and attitude of loyalty and love. |
Kingdom Co-operation |
Keeping Harmony |
According to the standard and principles of the Word of God we are committed to a positive attitude of fellowship, support, encouragement and co-operation with other Churches, Groups and Organizations within the Body of Christ on this island. |
We are committed to building each other up in our faith and ministry. If there is a matter of conflict or dispute we are committed to resolving it through a process of dialogue and communication. |
The Church Structure
The Alliance of Churches within Elim Ministries each have their own leadership based on the pattern laid down in the Bible. The appointment of those in leadership is made by the local Churches. Membership of any of our Churches is held at the will and discretion of the local Church leadership. This does not depend on any particular ritual, knowledge or creed but on a personal experience of salvation. In the Irish Republic the leaders of the Churches in the Alliance meet together on a number of occasions throughout the year in order to actively pursue the goals and vision of Elim Ministries.
Financial Commitment
Each of the Churches that form part of the Elim Family are committed to giving a tithe of their income towards the realization of our common goals and vision
